Creation

Websites are at the core of the sales funnel—attracting, validating, and converting leads. They have a lot of moving parts and often require expertise from multiple perspectives, delivered by an integrated team collaborating around a shared visions and requirements.

I've launched dozens of sites, including many with complex functionality, data, and integration needs. Each site is unique, but with shared process and the right team, you can be assured of a good outcome. Work with me and catch customers on the web.

Website
Process

Because sites require a multidisciplary approach, it's a team effort. Process and a framework are necessary to ensure successful outcome. Critical functionality, systems integrations, usability and lead flow, and SEO concerns are just some of the perspectives that must be included in the final website.

My web work follows a well-established process outlined below. I am often responsible for the strategic and scoping work, and the design itself—while I have some strong front-end skills, I usually partner with an expert for the development and any API integration. The more complex the site, the more experts might need to be invited to collaborate so it's never a 'one size fits all' solution. I'm always there for the QA period, to ensure what's launched meets the vision and needs defined in the early stages.

Websites are at the core of what I do, and I've been launching them for almost as long as there's been a world wide web.

Website Process

The process always begins with discovery (fact finding) by interviewing stakeholders and customers. The first deliverables are focused on the website's content strategy, and identifying any functionality and back-end integrations. Content audits, site maps, network diagrams, and a number of other tools can be used to clearly define scope and functionality.

Workflows and wireframes are used to map out content, interfaces, and user flows. What does the conversion funnel look like? For any complex web interfaces, rapid prototyping and user testing might be needed.

Moodboards and collaborative sketching can be used to refine the visual approach. By the time the design starts in earnest, there will be a collaborative foundation laid which will reduce number changes needed.
